Ranchi: Statues were broken in the temple, local people protested

Ranchi: Unidentified thieves allegedly destroyed god idols inside a temple in Jharkhand capital Ranchi, sparking protests by residents, an official said on Monday. He told that the incident took place in Bariatu area on Sunday night. “They found about three or four broken idols inside the temple,” sub-divisional officer (SDO) Utkarsh Kumar told PTI. Let us tell you that the villagers had blocked the tram on Bariatu Road demanding the arrest of the culprits. He said that images from security cameras are being examined as part of the police investigation.
