Before this, the Chief Minister started the Kite Utsav by flying a kite after garlanding the portrait of Chhattisgarh Mahtari and lighting the lamp. In this sequence, today we started the campaign by doing cleaning work in Shri Ram Temple premises. Chief Minister Shri Sai urged the people of the state to do cleaning work in their nearby religious places, faith centres, temples and Gurudwaras. On the day of Pran Pratistha, on 22nd January, light lamps in the houses at night, take such measures that the entire environment becomes filled with joy.
Culture Minister Shri Brijmohan Aggarwal, while addressing the program, said that today Makar Sankranti is the auspicious day of Lord Sun changing from Dakshinayan to Uttarayan.
