Truck’s brakes failed, accident averted
Nahan. A major accident was narrowly averted on Sunday near ITI on Nahan-Kumharhatti National Highway when the brakes of a truck failed. The driver wisely turned the truck towards the hill, due to which a major accident was averted.
According to the information, this accident is said to be due to brake failure of the truck. According to the information, a truck (HP 71-8168) was going to Rajgarh carrying sand from Kala Amb. Suddenly the brakes of the truck failed on NH-907A near ITI. The driver showed great courage and managed to crash the truck into the hill despite the heavy traffic on the road.
The truck was on the way to unload, so it overturned after the collision. The good thing is that no one was injured in the truck. Ankush resident of Nahan was driving the truck. Now if the driver had not risked his life and hit the truck with the hill, a major accident could have happened. People have also greatly appreciated this wisdom of the driver.
On the other hand, Gunnughat police personnel had also reached the spot. Locals Devi Chand, Dev Swaroop, Satish Rana, Manoj Prabhakar, Hardev Singh Thakur have demanded that Banog-Kanshiwala road should be opened for heavy vehicles. Movement of big vehicles in and out of the city should be stopped.
