Haresh Naik is new sarpanch of Curti-Khandepar

PONDA: Haresh Naik was elected unopposed as the sarpanch of Curti Khandepar panchayat on Monday.  Naik was declared unopposed as he was the sole candidate for the post of sarpanch.  

Deputy Sarpanch Vilma Pereira, panchayat member Neelkanth Naik, Manish Naik, Abhijeet Gawde, Sanjana Naik and Sajida Syed were present during the election.  Somnath Tari was the election officer and panchayat secretary Sachin Naik assisted during the election. The post had fallen vacant recently, following the resignation of sarpanch Sanjana Naik.
