Information from last year showed that enrollment levels for children between six and 14 years old increased from 96,6 percent in 2010 to 96,7 percent in 2014 and from 97,2 percent in 2018 to 98,4 percent in 2022. It is done.
The report said more than 55 per cent of class 11 and 12 students choose humanities, followed by science and commerce.
It was also observed that women are less likely to enroll in STEM streams (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) than men.
The report confirmed that fears that many older students were leaving school during the COVID-19 pandemic due to losing their means of livelihood were unfounded.
