Raipur. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai has said that financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh each will be provided to the families of the three soldiers martyred in the Naxal encounter on January 30 in Tekalgudem of Sukma district.
Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai made this announcement today during a discussion with journalists on the occasion of Jhumka Water Festival organized at Baikunthpur in Koriya district. This financial assistance amount is in addition to the amount received by the martyred soldiers from the state and central government.
It is known that on January 30, three soldiers were martyred while giving a befitting reply to the ambush attack by Naxalites in village Tekalgudem of Jagargunda police station area of Sukma district of the state. In which constable Mr.
Deven C. and constable Mr. Pawan Kumar of 201 Cobra CRPF battalion and constable Mr. Lambadhar Singha of 150th battalion were martyred. 16 soldiers were injured in this incident, out of which 8 soldiers have been brought to the capital Raipur for better treatment. Chief Minister Shri Sai had to reach the hospital on the evening of 30th January and meet the injured soldiers to inquire about their well being.
