Hit and Run: Had come from village to meet son, died in the middle of the road, husband died after wife

Agra: A tragic accident took place on the national highway in Agra, Uttar Pradesh on Friday afternoon. In front of Naveen Galla Mandi, a speeding vehicle ran over an elderly couple crossing the road. The police could not trace the vehicle that caused the accident on the second day. The wife died on the spot in the accident.

Old Mohanlal also died during treatment on Saturday. There was an atmosphere of sadness in the village after the news of the death of husband and wife. The son whom both of them had come from Etah to Agra to meet. The shadow of his parents was taken away from his head. The son was waiting for his parents to arrive on the other side of the road.

Mohanlal (65), resident of Nagla Bhikari village located in Kotwali countryside of Etah, was retired from the education department. His son Sarvesh Nagla lives on rent in Rambal, Trans Yamuna. He works in a factory. Mohanlal had come to meet his son with his wife Girja Devi (58) on Friday. Naveen reached Galla Mandi by bus at 2 in the afternoon. When the bus stopped, both of them got down. Both of them were hit by an unknown vehicle while crossing the road.
