MP: Man kills 5-year-old nephew after he refuses to give him tobacco
Shahdol: In Madhya Pradesh’s Shahdol district, a man allegedly hacked his five-year-old nephew to death with an ax and injured his sister-in-law for not giving tobacco in his house. Police gave this information on Sunday. ,
An official said that the police have arrested the accused Ramla Kol (30) for the incident which took place on Saturday night in Barkach village under Beohari police station area.
Mohan Padwar, in-charge of Beohari police station, said Kol had asked for tobacco from his elder brother’s wife Sukkhi Bai (35), but she rejected his request saying she did not have the substance at home.
He said that enraged by this, the accused entered the woman’s house at around 11 pm and attacked the woman and her son with an ax while they were sleeping and fled from the spot.
The boy died in the attack, while the woman was injured and is undergoing treatment, the official said.
He said that the accused has been arrested under section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code and other relevant provisions.
