64 year old man beaten to death, son arrested

Saharanpur. An incident that tarnishes the relationship has come to light in Nanauta police station area of Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh, where the son of a 64-year-old elderly man was arrested for beating him to death. The arrested accused was identified as Hukam Singh alias Bittu. According to the police, late on Sunday night, Nanauta police station had received information regarding the murder of a 64-year-old elderly man.

Police reached the spot and recovered the body. The deceased was identified as Roopchand of Gudamb village. The primary was registered on the complaint of the younger son of the deceased. In which the deceased’s elder son Hukam Singh alias Bittu was named. Senior Superintendent of Police Vipin Tada said that the accused son was arrested. On interrogation, the accused confessed to killing the deceased by allegedly beating him with a stick. The accused told that he committed the crime over a dispute over distribution of property.
