GST department raids tobacco warehouse in Raipur

Raipur. State GST department appears to be on action mode. The State GST Department has started strict action against businessmen who evade tax.

On Wednesday, the Enforcement Wing of the State GST Department took strict action against Kandhari Transport, Korba, Flower Queen Raipur and Lakshmi Roop Private Limited, Raipur. Besides, a tobacco warehouse was also raided in the capital Raipur. A total tax of Rs 4 crore has been deposited from all of them on the spot and further action is underway so that more amount can be deposited.

This action has been taken on the orders of State GST Commissioner Rajat Bansal under the guidance of Additional Commissioner Enforcement Prateek Jain. According to the State GST Department, strict action will continue against tax evaders so that transparency in business can be increased and all possible efforts can be continued to increase revenue. In this series, raids have been conducted on many business establishments of the capital Raipur. The team of State GST Department has detected GST evasion worth several crores. Some establishments have paid a total of more than Rs 4 crore GST on the spot. There was a stir among the traders throughout the day due to the raid in the case of tax evasion.
