Drunk man rapes elderly widow, arrested

Bhojpur. A 35-year-old youth raped a 55-year-old widow who was cutting grass in the field in Bhojpur. The young man was drunk. Before committing the crime, the accused broke the woman’s head with a stick. When she fell on the ground, she did seven wrong things. During this time, the victim, in self-defence, injured the young man by hitting him with a sharp weapon and raised an alarm. Hearing the sound, nearby villagers reached the spot and thrashed the young man. Information was given to police through dial-112. Police reached the spot and took both of them to Sadar Hospital for treatment. The incident took place in Mufassil police station area. The victim woman told that she was cutting grass in the field when the young man attacked her on the head with a stick from behind.

Then they did wrong things to me. When I raised an alarm, the villagers came to the spot. Caught the accused and beat him. Her husband had died four years ago. Has a daughter who is married. There is no one to live with. Accused Amit Kumar Singh said that I was drunk, I made a big mistake. Couldn’t understand anything while drunk. The accused is a resident of Chhotki Sandiya village and had gone to the fields for a walk. ASI Shambhu Singh said that we received information that a young man was doing wrong with a woman in a village under the Mufassil police station area. The accused has been caught. The woman also attacked the young man in self-defence. After treatment of the woman, medical examination will be done. However, the police is investigating the matter at its level.
