Senior female IAS officer complains against call center employees, upset by calls
Lucknow: A senior woman IAS officer in Lucknow has lodged a complaint against unidentified employees of a call center for making harassing calls and using abusive language.
The woman IAS officer said in her complaint, “Her husband is also an IAS officer. He was continuously receiving calls from an executive of a multinational bank on his phone. She said that she had not paid the credit card dues of the bank.”
The woman officer said in the FIR, “When my husband asked about the credit card, there was a discrepancy in the details given. So he asked them not to call again as that bank had not issued him any credit card.”
The call center employee misbehaved and started using multiple numbers to make repeated calls.
When we contacted Lucknow Police, the calls stopped coming. But in the period of December-January, calling started again on my husband’s mobile number with such claims. It seems that someone used my personal information and got the bank to issue a credit card and now their call center is harassing us. Hazratganj police station SHO Vikram Singh said that an FIR has been registered and investigation is underway.
