Darekar was vocal about the illegal production and sale of liquor from the school premises, which led to tensions with the local liquor mafia. He had also lodged several complaints with the authorities regarding this issue.

Following the tragic incident of the death of his adopted pet, Darekar filed a First Information Report (FIR) at the Bhoiwada police station, expressing his belief that the liquor mafia was responsible for Raja’s brutal death. According to the police complaint, Raja’s legs were tied and it looked as if he had been beaten with sticks or some heavy object.

Darekar revealed in his social media post that he has received threats from people associated with the liquor racket and has been warned to stop his complaints. However, she never thought that they would resort to harming her beloved pet. Crying over his tragic loss, he said that a person working with a political party was behind this heinous murder.

Legal action was taken in the matter

While the culprits are currently listed as ‘unknown’ in the FIR, senior police inspector Sudhir Kudalkar, founder of the PAL (Pure Animal Lovers) group, expressed his suspicions and stressed the need for a thorough investigation.

Darekar speculates that the king may have been targeted in retaliation for his absence, giving the perpetrators the opportunity to take revenge without fear of immediate repercussions.

Authorities are investigating the matter further to identify and arrest the culprits responsible for this heinous act of animal cruelty.
