Murder accused sentenced to life imprisonment

District Sessions Judge Anil Kumar Sohane has sentenced life imprisonment to Arjun Ahirwar, son of Dharam Chand Ahirwar, resident of Ward 13, Tajpura Mohalla Raisen, who was involved in the murder of Harbhajan Ahirwar. He has also sentenced him to a fine of Rs 2,000. The murder was committed due to drinking alcohol. The incident took place over a dispute. The accused and the deceased were close friends. Omprakash Soni appeared on behalf of the government. Public Prosecutor OP Soni told that on July 31, 2022, Harbhajan Ahirwar, resident of Tajpura, called Arjun Ahirwar from home at 6 pm. After half an hour, a dispute broke out after drinking alcohol. As a result of the dispute, Arjun Ahirwar attacked him with a lathi rod. The accused Arjun had absconded after beating Harbhajan Ahirwar and seriously injuring him. The family members of seriously injured Harbhajan took him to the district hospital for treatment. Where the doctors declared Harbhajan dead during treatment.
Additional Sessions Judge of Gauharganj has sentenced 21 year old Pankaj Rao, accused of kidnapping and forcibly raping a minor, to 10 years imprisonment. He has also been punished with a fine of Rs 6,000. In this case, on behalf of the state of Madhya Pradesh, The case was represented by Special Public Prosecutor Anil Kumar Tiwari. According to the prosecution, on December 2, 2020, the said accused had abducted a minor girl to Rajgarh on the pretext of marriage. Where the accused held the girl hostage in a house and raped her by making her his wife. Kept doing it. From here the police had caught the girl and the accused.
