Student preparing for exam committed suicide by hanging himself

Varanasi: A student who was preparing for the entrance examination by living on rent in Brahmanand Nagar Colony of Bhelupur police station area of Varanasi district, committed suicide by hanging himself. Mayank Dwivedi (21), resident of Garhwa in Kharadi district of Jharkhand, was living with cousin Karthik in Brahmanand Nagar.
Karthik had gone to get milk at 9.30 pm on Tuesday night. During this, Mayank closed the door of the room and hanged himself from the latch of the fan with the help of the muffler. When Karthik came back and called for the room to be opened, there was no response from inside. After which, when the door was opened with great effort, seeing the inside, the ground slipped beneath Karthik’s feet. After the incident, a crowd of people gathered nearby.
Meanwhile the police was informed about the incident. The police reached the spot, took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem. Mayank’s father is a home guard in Sonbhadra. As soon as the information about the son’s death came, there was chaos in the family. The family members are in bad condition, crying.
