Review of transport arrangements for class 10th examinations held in Vizag
Visakhapatnam: As the Class 10 exams are scheduled from March 18 to 30, a comprehensive review was conducted by the State Commission for Protection of Child Rights on Wednesday. Officials from various institutions including District Child Welfare Department, Women and Child Welfare Department and Education Department were present.
The meeting assessed the readiness of RTCs to facilitate safe transportation of students to their examination centers across Visakha district.
Child Rights Commission member Gondu Sitaram visited the RTC campus on Wednesday and took stock of the arrangements.
Aspects such as availability and condition of designated RTC buses for transportation of students, provision of adequate mechanics and drivers, presence of first aid facilities onboard and issue of bus passes were discussed.
RTC regional manager Appalaraju chaired the review meeting at the RM office.
District Deputy Education Officer Gauri Shankar requested to deploy additional buses especially for disabled students.
It was decided that during the examinations, only the hall tickets of the students will be verified during the check-in process.
