Death toll in Moscow terror attack rises to 93, 11 suspects in custody
Moscow. The death toll in the terrorist attack on Moscow’s Crocus City Hall has increased to 93. According to CNN report, the investigating committee said on Saturday that the death toll is likely to increase further.
According to Russian media, Russian Security Service (FSB) director Alexander Bortnikov told Russian President Vladimir Putin that 11 people have been detained in connection with the attack on the Krokus complex near Moscow on Friday.
All four terrorists directly involved in the attack have also been detained, Tass said. The mall was attacked around 8 pm on Friday night. According to RT report, there was chaos after the attack.
The attackers targeted the people attending the music conference. In the videos that have emerged from the incident site, dead bodies are visible all around. The attackers also reportedly threw hand grenades to set the building on fire. This terrorist attack has been condemned worldwide. British Foreign Secretary David Cameron said, “We offer our deepest condolences to the families of the victims.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi condemned the terrorist attack and said, “We strongly condemn the heinous terrorist attack in Moscow. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims. India joins the government and people of the Russian Federation in this hour of grief.” I stand in solidarity.”
Meanwhile, the Pakistani Foreign Ministry said the country condemned the “horrific” attack on a concert hall in Moscow. “We express our deepest condolences to the families of the victims,” the ministry said in a statement.
