Police launched ‘Operation Kaso’, raided many houses

Chandigarh: Police is on high alert in view of the Lok Sabha elections in the country. Police are continuously running search operations to stop smuggling of illegal liquor. Meanwhile, Pathankot Police launched ‘Operation Kaso’ following complaints of illegal liquor and drug smuggling from Himachal. Under this, the police conducted a search operation in the Punjab-Himachal border and other areas.
On Sunday, Pathankot Police formed different teams and conducted ‘Operation Kaso’ in Sali Kulian area and searched different houses. Police action is continuing continuously. Pathankot DCP Sameer Singh said, “The police has launched this operation against illegal liquor and drug smuggling, so that drug smugglers can be cracked down on.”
He told that for the last few days, complaints of illegal liquor and drug smuggling were being received from Himachal. On the basis of which the police searched many houses in Sali Kulian area. The police is working with the aim of completely curbing illegal liquor and drug smuggling.
