Playing with cancer patients, alleged doctor absconded as soon as it was revealed
Bilaspur. Accusing the doctor who has been treating cancer in the city for years of being fake, IMA has complained to the CMHO and demanded strict action. The team of CMHO office inspected the hospital and sought information about the doctor’s registration from MCI.
Dr. Vivek Gehlot, director of Gehlot Hospital in Sakri police station area of Bilaspur, has been treating serious diseases like cancer for years by appointing a cancer surgeon. Dr. Gehlot has been participating in the programs of Indian Medical Association and Doctors Meet from time to time. Similarly, in a meeting of IMA, other doctors asked for information regarding Dr. Gehlot’s degree and college.
Dr. Gehlot described himself as MCH Oncologist from AIIMS Delhi and MS Surgeon from Jaipur Medical College. The doctors of the city conducted investigation in AIIMS Delhi and Jaipur, on which it was found that Dr. Vivek Gehlot has not taken degree in both the places. After this, IMA complained to the CMHO office regarding the action. On the complaint of the association, when the team of CMHO office went to inspect Gehlot Hospital, it was found closed for the last several days. It is believed that ever since the doctors interrogated Vivek Gehlot in the IMA meeting, he has absconded from Bilaspur. However, CMHO says that after receiving information from MCI, an FIR will be lodged if Vivek Gehlot is found guilty.
