Uncle and nephew killed after being hit by bus, bike damaged
Katghora. A speeding bus filled with passengers crushed bike riders in Korba district. In this accident, two people died on the spot. Both the deceased are said to be maternal uncle and nephew. Police reached the spot after getting information about the incident and started investigation. This matter is of Pali police station area.
According to the information, the bike was hit by a speeding Royal Bus at around 2.30 pm on Friday afternoon near Rangole Chowk in Pali police station area on Ambikapur National Highway No. 130. In the accident, two people riding the bike died on the spot. It is being told that both the deceased, Durgeshi Yadav and Ajay Kumar Yadav, were maternal uncle and nephew and were residents of village Kartli. Both were returning home on bike CG-12AR-8962. Meanwhile, while crossing Rangole Chowk on the national highway, a speeding bus hit the bike.
The speed of the bus on the highway was so high that after the collision, the bike got stuck in the wheel of the bus and the bus dragged the bike for some distance. After this the bus could not move forward. The driver fled from the scene of the incident. At present, the police have registered a case against the bus driver and are taking further action in the matter.
