Jyotiraditya Scindia bowed his head at Tekri Sarkar temple before filing nomination
Guna: BJP candidate from Guna and Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia started his nomination tour on Tuesday morning. Scindia reached the Tekri Sarkar temple early in the morning where he worshiped with full rituals and took the blessings of Lord Hanuman.
After this, Scindia, along with Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and state BJP President VD Sharma, will reach Shivpuri from Guna via Myna, Badarwas, Lukwasa and Kolaras. He will have a road show from Jhansi Chowk in Shivpuri to Collectorate, after which he will file nominations.
Scindia has won elections from Guna four times on Congress ticket, but he lost in 2019. BJP’s Krishna Pal Singh Yadav defeated him. Congress has fielded Rao Yadavendra Singh Yadav from here, who left BJP and joined Congress in 2023. Voting for Lok Sabha in Guna will be held in the third phase on May 7. Guna parliamentary constituency has eight assembly constituencies — Shivpuri, Pichor, Kolaras, Bamori, Guna, Ashok Nagar, Chanderi and Mungawali.
