All nine Jharkhand children sold in Himachal Pradesh in the name of getting work recovered, four arrested
Ranchi (IANS) | Three children from Jharkhand, who were sold in Himachal Pradesh in the name of providing work, have been freed by the Anti Human Trafficking Unit of the police. These children were taken from Latehar in Jharkhand to Shimla and other places. Last month also six such children were freed. Four people have also been arrested in this case. The four arrested people are from Jharkhand and they have created a network of trafficking of children from poor families by luring them. The in-charge of Anti Human Trafficking Unit said that on the statement of Latehar resident Sakaldev Pasi, an FIR was registered on February 3. It was told in this that a total of nine children of the district have been sold by taking them to Himachal Pradesh. For this poor families were given the lure of money. Based on this complaint, last month the police team went to Himachal Pradesh and rescued six children from different areas. The identity of the three children was not known. After investigation and interrogation of various people, the police have now recovered them safely. All the children have been handed over to their parents.
The four accused who have been arrested in this case are Indrajit Singh, Kamlesh Yadav, Anita Devi, residents of Satbarwa in Palamu district and Sampatiya Kunwar, residents of Garu police station area of Latehar district.
