Deepika Padukone becomes Barbie in pink ball

Deepika Padukone stepped out at the Met Gala 2019 in a futuristic Barbie-meets-Disney princess gown with a never-ending train, keeping with the ‘Camp: Notes on Fashion’ theme. Deepika looked perfect in this dreamy look. Actor-husband Ranveer Singh also commented on her doll-like looks. Deepika, who shot to global recognition in 2017 with the Hollywood film xXx: Return of Xander Cage, stunned when she stepped out in her pink strapless gown at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art in May 2019. Responding to one of her Instagram posts at the time, Ranveer wrote, “Come on Barbie, let’s party…” His comment was a reference to Aqua’s 1997 hit track Barbie Girl.

The actor couldn’t stop himself from leaving adorable comments on Deepika’s many pictures on Instagram. Responding to an Instagram post by Deepika’s stylist Shalina Nathani, Ranveer wrote, “For the after-party, the actor chose a body-hugging neon green dress with a black printed pullover and high heels. She completed her look with blue earrings. After the party, Deepika was seen hanging out with actors Priyanka Chopra and Nina Dobrev and fashion designer Prabal Gurung.

The two got married in a private ceremony at the beautiful Lake Como in Italy. Deepika and Ranveer sealed the deal in a traditional Konkani ceremony on November 14, 2018, and celebrated their union with an Anand Karaj ceremony on November 15. They then hosted two receptions in India, one in Deepika’s hometown Bengaluru, followed by For his Bollywood friends in Mumbai.
