Young man arrested for sending obscene messages on Instagram

Ambikapur. The police has arrested the accused who harassed a minor girl by sending obscene messages on Instagram. The accused was continuously harassing the minor by sending obscene messages on Instagram with bad intentions. The mobile phone used in the incident was recovered from the possession of the accused. According to the police, the applicant came to the police station on May 5 and lodged a report that the applicant’s minor girl was already known to Raja Soni, a resident of Kenabandh, due to which the applicant’s minor girl used to talk to Raja Soni on mobile.

Between April 30 and May 4, 2024, Raja Soni was continuously harassing a minor by posting her photo on Instagram with the intention of defaming her and also threatening to kill the victim by obscenely abusing the victim and her family if she refused. There has been continuous indecent conversation. On the report of the applicant, the crime was registered in the police station and taken up for investigation. With the help of cyber cell, the police team obtained technical information regarding the accused, surrounded the accused and interrogated him. The accused told his name to be Raja Soni from Ambikapur near Kenabandh pond. When the accused was interrogated regarding the incident, he admitted to the incident. The mobile phone used in the incident was seized at the behest of the accused. As evidence of crime was found against the accused, he was arrested and sent on judicial remand.
