Young man reached Anicut slips, dies
Balod. A father who was teaching his child to swim in Anicut died by drowning in water after his feet slipped. The deceased had reached his sister’s house to attend the wedding ceremony. After the incident, there is mourning in the wedding house.
The incident took place in Hirapur Tandula river under Balod police station. Shyam Kumar Sahu (45 years old), resident of Subhash Nagar, Durg, father Gurudayal Sahu had reached his sister’s house in village Hirapur of Balod district to attend the wedding. During this time, he had taken his child for swimming in Hirapur Anicut built on Tandula river. During this, his foot slipped and got submerged in water, he died due to getting stuck in water hyacinths.
Information about the incident was given in Balod police station, after which the police reached the spot, took out the body through the rescue team and after conducting Panchnama action, sent it for post-mortem. After the accident, the joy of marriage at home has turned into mourning.
