Police-Naxalite encounter in Bijapur, 12 Naxalite killed so far

Bijapur. As soon as the new government is formed in Chhattisgarh, action against Naxalites is continuing. Where an encounter is going on between security forces and Naxalites since Friday morning in Bijapur district. Soldiers have killed 12 Naxalites in Gangalur area. The bodies of the killed Naxalites have also been recovered. It is being told that many big Naxalites are present there who have been surrounded by the security forces and heavy firing is going on from both the sides.

Actually, the security forces had received information about the presence of Naxalites in this area, that big leaders including hardcore Naxalite commander Linga, Paparao had gathered in the forests of Pedia. This committee of Naxalites includes big Naxalite leaders of DKSZC, DVCM, ACM cadre. After receiving the information, the force has launched a joint operation from three districts: Dantewada, Bijapur and Sukma. Where so far 6 Naxalites have been killed in the encounter in the forests of Pedia. At present the encounter is going on from both the sides.
