Aunt and uncle killed their nephew due to witchcraft
Baikunthpur. The aunt and uncle took the life of their own nephew due to witchcraft, which was revealed by the police. A month ago, on April 19, the brother of the deceased had lodged an information in Patna police station that Sanu Panika alias Dhaneshwar, father Ramchandra, age 21, resident of village Khond under Pandopara, was lying dead near the well outside his aunt’s house. On which the team of Patna Police Station and Cyber Cell reached the spot, did Panchnama and sent the body for post-mortem. In the post-mortem, when the doctor declared the cause of death to be murder, information about the incident was given to Superintendent of Police Korea Suraj Singh Parihar.
SP Korea had given instructions to take the case on priority and take necessary action, investigate and arrest the accused. After which a special team was formed in Patna police station under section 302, 201 IPC. After registering the crime, the accused was being traced continuously. During the trace, the Korea Police was interrogating all the family members of the deceased one by one and the cyber cell team was continuously engaged in the investigation. After a week of tireless work the case was solved. Initially, a lot of efforts were made by the deceased’s aunt Amravati Devi and uncle Bajrang Panika to confuse the police. On which the police became suspicious and after repeatedly asking the police about the incident, both the accused got entangled in their own false story and told the police the reality of the incident.
During interrogation, it was revealed that the deceased Sanu Panika alias Dhaneshwar Chaitra used to stay at night at his cousin’s aunt Amravati’s house during Navratri. Amravati and Bajrang had completed 12 years of Navratri Jawara puja. Due to her superstition, Amravati wanted to sacrifice her own nephew by cutting his hair using witchcraft. When Sanu was sleeping on the terrace at night. At the same time, when the accused aunt Amravati cut Sanu’s hair, he protested against it. On which Amravati’s husband Bajrang strangulated Sanu with a towel. Meanwhile, Amravati attacked Sanu from behind with a crowbar lying nearby, due to which Sanu died. The accused told that after this, both of them wanted to drag the deceased with the help of a towel and throw the body in the well. But when they had reached near the well with the dead body, they heard someone’s noise and left the dead body there and went inside the house. If murder is found certified, sections 302, 201, 34 IPC will be registered against both the accused. The crime has been registered, arrested and sent to jail on judicial remand.
