Mohali: Cyclist hit by truck, struggles between life and death

Mohali: An industrial worker was crushed by a concrete mixer truck in Phase 5 today at around 4 pm. Passersby reported that an unidentified youth, around 20 years old, was turning on a slip road when a concrete mixer truck came from behind and hit the cyclist. The cyclist fell on the road and was crushed under the front left wheel of the truck.

Passersby caught hold of the truck driver Ashok after the incident. The seriously injured victim was rushed to Phase 6 hospital, from where he was shifted to Advanced Trauma Centre of PGIMER, Chandigarh. His condition is said to be critical. Police from Industrial Area Phase 5 police post reached the spot and started investigation.
