Medak News: Farmer committed suicide in Medak district

Medak: A young tenant farmer allegedly committed suicide in Kothapalli Village of Papannapet Mandal. The village had suffered heavy farming losses due to hailstorms in March-April this year. Tappa Mallesham (38), a resident of Kothapalli village, had leased a piece of land from a farmer last year.

As his ripe paddy crop was destroyed due to hailstorms during the Yasaangi season, Mallesham suffered a poor yield. Group-I exam concluded peacefully, 6,770 candidates absent Mallesham is reported to have attempted suicide by consuming pesticide in his field on May 30. He died while undergoing treatment in the hospital on Sunday. A case has been registered.
