IMD Issues Yellow Warning For Rain And Thunderstorm With Lightning In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning for rain and thunderstorm with lightning in ten districts of Odisha.

Thunderstorm with lightning accompanied with gusty surface windspeed reaching 30-40 kmph likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Bhadrak, Sundargarh, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Malkangiri and Koraput till 8.30 AM tomorrow. The weather department has issued a yellow warning for the same.

However, the weather department said that heatwave condition likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Jagatsinghpur, Nayagarh, Khurda, Nuapada, Balangir, Gajapati, Ganjam and Boudh.

Besides, hot and humid weather condition likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack and Puri.
