Ludhiana: Three injured in clash between two groups in a cafe

Ludhiana: Two groups clashed at a cafe in the city on Saturday night. The matter escalated when members of both the sides started throwing bottles at each other, following which the security personnel deployed at the cafe had to intervene. On Monday, the video of the scuffle went viral on social media. According to eyewitnesses, members of both the groups were dancing on the dance floor when a boy’s shoulder collided with a girl’s shoulder. After this, an argument broke out between the two groups, which turned into a scuffle on the dance floor.

Three people reportedly suffered minor injuries during the scuffle. One of the injured has been admitted to the DMCH. Night clubs and restaurants in the south city remain open till late at night. Earlier too, there have been reports of clashes from such food outlets, but no strict action has been taken against those involved in such incidents. The Sarabha Nagar police said that no complaint has been received in connection with the clash.
