Raigarh: Two arrested for selling illicit liquor near a dhaba
Raigarh news. On the instructions of Superintendent of Police Divyang Kumar Patel, to curb the sale of illegal liquor, Police Station Incharge Punjipathra Inspector Rakesh Mishra has directed the police station staff to get information about illegal activities by placing informers in every village.
In this episode, the Police Station Incharge Punjipathra received information from the informer about illegal sale of Mahua liquor near the dhaba located at Tamnar Chowk. On the instructions of the Police Station Incharge, Punjipathra staff laid siege at Tamnar Chowk Punjipathra and arrested the accused Giriraj Singh, father late Nripat Singh, age 45 years, resident of Chamrawala Police Station Nagina District Bijnor (U.P.) currently residing at Punjipathra Sahu Hotel District Raigarh with 07 bulk liters of Mahua liquor kept in a 10 liter capacity jerrycan.
In another action, the Punjipathra police arrested the woman accused Sushila Sahu, wife of Ugrasen Sahu, age 29 years, resident of Godgoda, Police Station Punjipathra, District Raigarh, near Tamnar Chowk with about 06 bulk liters of Mahua liquor filled in a 10-liter capacity plastic jerrycan. Action has been taken against both the accused in Police Station Punjipathra under separate sections 34(2), 59(a) of the Excise Act. Punjipathra Police is keeping an eye on illegal liquor sale in dhabas and hotels.
