Chhattisgarh: No distribution of gram even after announcement

Korba korba news. The government has supplied all the ration items including rice to the civil supply warehouses. Due to lack of transportation facilities, the ration has not reached the ration shop. Even after providing the option in the e-pass machine for distribution, the beneficiaries are deprived of cheap ration.

Providing cheap ration to BPL families is an important scheme of the government. While only rice and salt are being given in other districts, there is also a provision to provide gram and sugar in Korba due to being a tribal district.

After the completion of election work and the end of the model code of conduct, administrative work has started gaining momentum afresh. Every year a contract is made with the Agriculture Organization by the State Government for the distribution of gram. It is worth mentioning that due to the implementation of the model code of conduct, the contract could not be made in the month of April. Gram could not be stored in the warehouses, due to which the distribution is affected for two months. The scheme of distribution of nutritious gram was started by the BJP’s Raman government. Since then, it is continuing uninterrupted.
