Fatehpur: 5 people and 6 animals died due to lightning

Fatehpur: 5 people and 6 animals died in different areas of Fatehpur district of Uttar Pradesh after being struck by lightning on Friday evening. Taking cognizance of the incidents, the District Magistrate has sent senior officials of the Revenue Department to the spot to console the victim’s family and for further action. According to information received from sources, expressing deep condolences on the incidents, the District Magistrate said that the district administration is with the victim’s family and the relatives of the deceased will be provided with the gratuitous assistance amount determined by the government from the State Disaster Relief Fund under natural disaster. Action is being taken for this.

It is being told that those who died after being struck by lightning include Kailash, Sitaram, Ram Shankar, Kajal, Kari Devi of Devlan village of Ghazipur police station of Sadar tehsil. The bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem. At the same time, Aman got burnt after being struck by lightning under Sadar tehsil Fatehpur, whose treatment is going on in the district hospital.
