Andhra Pradesh: CM Chandrababu wrote a letter to pensioners
Andhra Pradesh: Expressing his heartfelt gratitude to the pensioners of Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has announced to increase the pension from Rs 3000 to Rs 4000. This decision will benefit 65,18,496 pension beneficiaries of 28 categories. The decision will be implemented from July 1. It aims to fulfil the hopes and aspirations of the people. In a letter addressed to the pensioners, CM Chandrababu Naidu reaffirmed his government’s commitment to the welfare of the people and expressed happiness over increasing the pension for disabled persons from Rs 3000 to Rs 6000. He emphasised that the ruling party has taken steps to mitigate economic problems and give priority to public welfare since coming to power. Acknowledging the difficulties faced by pensioners during the election period, CM Chandrababu Naidu assured that the increase in pension will be implemented retrospectively from the month of April. This means that pensioners will not only get Rs 3000 for the last three months but also an additional Rs 4000 for the month of July, taking the total amount to Rs 7000. Furthermore, the pension programme has been renamed as NTR Bharosa in honour of late NTR, the pioneer of the social pension system in Andhra Pradesh. The enhanced pension will now be delivered at the doorstep of pensioners with an aim to enhance their financial self-reliance and security. CM Naidu concluded the letter by seeking the blessings of pensioners for a people’s government, dedicated to the well-being and happiness of citizens. The increase in pension is a testimony to the government’s commitment to fulfilling its election promises and ensuring the welfare of all its citizens.
