Siddipet: Head constable dies of heart attack while on duty

Siddipet: A head constable died of a heart attack while on duty at the Three-Town police station in Siddipet on Sunday. Constable Kuchanpalli Yadagiri (52), a 1993 batch constable, fell unconscious on the station premises on Sunday following which Three-Town Inspector Vidya Sagar, SI Bhaskar and other staff members rushed him to the Siddipet Government Hospital. Doctors declared him dead.

Yadagiri is survived by his wife, a daughter and a son. Police Commissioner Dr B Anuradha spoke to the family members and assured assistance to the family. Yadagiri was later cremated with police honours. Constables of the Armed Police Force fired two rounds in the air before the cremation at the local cemetery. ADCP Ramachandra Rao, ACP Siddipet Madhu and other officials attended the funeral. The officials gave Rs 20,000 to the family as immediate relief.
