Ludhiana: Masked miscreants killed a youth in broad daylight

Ludhiana: On Wednesday, in broad daylight, two masked miscreants barged into a house in Dugri Village and slit the throat of a 19-year-old youth with a sharp weapon and killed him. At the time of the incident, the deceased’s father and sister were also present in the room. They took their blood-soaked son to a private hospital for treatment, where doctors declared him dead. Dugri police have taken the body into custody and kept it in the mortuary of the civil hospital. They are examining the footage of CCTV cameras installed nearby. The deceased has been identified as Shravan Kumar (19). The deceased’s father Prem Paswan is originally from Bihar. He told that he has four daughters and two sons. His son Shravan used to sell daily goods on a cart and his married daughter Ritu also lived with him. At around 1 pm, he was present in the room with his son. Then two masked youths knocked on the door. When he opened the door, they pushed him and started beating his son. After the assault, 10 minutes later, both the accused came back with sharp weapons and slit the throat of his son. When his daughter tried to intervene, they beat her too. According to the police, statements of the victim’s family members are being recorded and further action will be taken as per the law.
