Telangana: Will build trauma care center at toll plaza
Hyderabad: ADP India in collaboration with the Telangana government has begun construction of a state-of-the-art trauma care centre at Koralapahad toll plaza in Nalgonda district. The trauma care centre is expected to provide immediate treatment to accident victims, significantly reducing the time between injury and care. The foundation stone for the centre was laid in the presence of Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Nalgonda Collector Narayana Reddy. The facility will be spread over 6500 square feet and aims to provide immediate medical assistance to accident victims, ensuring that critically injured persons receive the immediate care they need. The Hyderabad-Vijayawada highway (NH 65) has 17 blackspots, which led to over 500 accidents and over 120 lives in 2023-24. The first hour after a traumatic injury, often called the ‘golden hour’, is most crucial for survival. ADP’s Trauma Centre, strategically located near the Hyderabad-Vijayawada highway, is designed to provide life-saving care to critically injured patients. This quick response can be crucial in saving lives and reducing the severity of injuries. The Trauma Care Centre, equipped with the latest equipment, will cater to these critical trauma cases. Immediate medical intervention can significantly reduce mortality and improve the prognosis for accident victims. Speaking at the ceremony, ADP Managing Director Vijay Vemulapalli said, “The Trauma Care Centre underlines our dedication to enhance public safety and provide immediate medical assistance to those in need. Minister Venkat Reddy thanked ADP for its humanitarian contribution and hoped to inaugurate the facility soon.
