Sircilla: Police dog Tango who solved 15 murders and 84 thefts dies
Sircilla: Tango, a German Shepherd dog who joined the police department eight years ago, died on Saturday morning. He played a key role in identifying the accused in 99 cases including 15 murders and 84 thefts. Superintendent of Police Akhil Mahajan, along with dog handler Laxman, paid tribute to Tango by offering floral tributes at the police headquarters in Sircilla.
The SP recalled the services rendered by Tango to the police department in the last eight years. The SP said Tango was allotted to the district after being given basic training at IITA-Moinabad in 2017 and appreciated the services of the police dog. Additional SP Chandraiah, RI Yadagiri, Madhukar, Ramesh, dog squad staff and others were present on the occasion.
