Darbhanga: Darbhanga police will take Kazim Ansari, the main accused arrested in the murder case of Jitan Sahni, father of Vikassheel Insaan Party supremo Mukesh Sahni, on remand and interrogate him again. This information was given by Darbhanga Senior Superintendent of Police Jagunath Reddy in a press conference. He also told that the arrested Kazim Ansari is currently in jail. At the same time, he said that the police investigation is going on in the case.
SSP Jagunath Reddy said that recently we tried to find the weapon with which the murder was committed, but we have not yet got hold of that weapon. Regarding this, we will request the court to send the accused on police remand. After which we will interrogate again so that some evidence can be found.
He told that during the action, we have also searched the nearby CCTV cameras and are also investigating the remaining CCTVs so that some evidence can be found from it. We are also investigating the people who have come under the scanner. We are also investigating the people whose names have been mentioned by the accused. The mobile is being analyzed.
He said that the documents and the bike recovered from the crime scene are being verified. Regarding the statements of the main culprit Kazim, he said that whatever the accused reveals, it is necessary to verify it so that no innocent person is caught. Therefore, it is necessary to cross verify every statement that comes forward.
Many accused in this case are still absconding. Jitan Sahni was brutally murdered by unknown criminals late on Monday night. On Tuesday morning, his body was recovered from his residence in Supaul Bazar of Biraul police station area of Darbhanga. The next day, on Wednesday, the police arrested Kazim Ansari.
