Constable and Home Guard jawan injured, had reached to resolve dispute

UP. In Jaunpur district, these days, incidents of attack on police force have started raising questions on law and order. Shahganj Kotwali area: On the news of a fight in village Argupur Kala located in Shahganj Kotwali area on the night of 20th July, the police team which went to the spot was again attacked and injured, before this, a similar incident has happened in a village of Pawara police station area in the district.

According to official sources, the police of PRB team had gone to Argupur Kala village located in Shahganj Kotwali area on the information of a dispute and fight between two parties, where the miscreants attacked the police team and injured them. It is reported that Samar Bahadur Singh of Argupur village informed PRB Police 112 late on Saturday night of 20th July that some people are bent on fighting at his place. On this information, PRB constable Vinod Kumar reached the spot on a two-wheeler with his home guard colleague and was trying to find out about the matter, when some rowdy people attacked both of them. The police and home guard injured by the attackers informed the police station in-charge Shahganj about the incident.

On getting information about the police beating, Shahganj in-charge inspector Manoj Kumar Singh Thakur reached the spot with fellow soldiers, however, on seeing the police of the police station, the attackers fled from there. The injured constable Vinod Kumar and the home guard jawan were brought to the police station and both were sent to the Primary Health Center Shahganj for medical examination and treatment. The police station in-charge and the police team are now searching for the attackers.
