Recently, the Balodabazar police had issued a notice for the third time to the Bhilai MLA to record his statement in the violence and arson case that took place on June 10 at the Balodabazar district office. The police had asked him to reach Balodabazar by 10 am on July 18 to record his statement. But he did not reach to record the statement this time too, after which the Balodabazar police itself reached his residence to record his statement.

It is worth noting that even before this, on 8 and 16 July, the Balodabazar police had issued a notice to Devendra Yadav. He was to be questioned in the Balodabazar violence case. According to the police, Devendra Yadav was also present at the event on the day violence broke out in Balodabazar. Therefore, the police want to know his role by interrogating him. But MLA Devendra Yadav has filed a petition in the High Court regarding this matter. MLA Yadav had said that he will wait for the decision of the High Court, after which whatever instructions come will be followed.
