Chandigarh: Kendriya Vidyalaya Pathankot won the handball competition

Chandigarh: Kendriya Vidyalaya Pathankot (No. 3) won the girls under-14 handball competition title by defeating Kendriya Vidyalaya, 3BRD, Chandigarh during the 53rd Regional Sports Meet at KV 3BRD, Air Force Station, Chandigarh. The team of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Mullanpur secured third position. In the under-17 category, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Mullanpur secured first position while Kendriya Vidyalaya, Adampur (No. 1) came second and KV Pathankot (No. 3) came third. The girls under-14 basketball team of Kendriya Vidyalaya High Grounds won the title by defeating Kendriya Vidyalaya, Hussainpur.

Kendriya Vidyalaya, Suranasi and Kendriya Vidyalaya (No. 4), Pathankot secured third and fourth positions respectively. The team of Hussainpur won the under-17 category title while Kendriya Vidyalaya (No. 3), Bathinda, High Grounds and Kendriya Vidyalaya, Halwara (No. 4) came second, third and fourth. Chairman, Air Cmde Rajiv Srivastava, VSM, Group Captain Manpreet Gill, Group Captain Yogesh and Squadron Leader Abhay Singh Tomar awarded the winners.
