Now drug department raids fancy and cosmetic shops in CG

Balodabazar. As per the instructions of Collector Deepak Soni, the team of the Drug Department conducted a surprise inspection in various cosmetic retailer agencies and fancy stores located in Bhatapara city. The common citizens had complained to Collector Deepak Soni about fake cosmetic products being sold in cosmetic shops and fancy stores. On which the Collector had directed the Drug Department to investigate. On which the Drug Department today investigated fake cosmetic products in Hussaini Sales Agency, Omika Cosmetic Agency, Vansh Cosmetic Stores, Baba Garib Das General Stores, Madina Bagels and Fancy Stores, Suhagan Fancy Stores of Bhatapara city.

During the investigation, samples of cosmetics were taken from all the suspected cosmetic stores for quality check. In which samples of face powder, face cream, Alfairness cream, body lotion, talc powder, hair powder and cream were taken and sent to the State Testing Laboratory Raipur. During the inspection, the record of purchase and sale was taken from all the cosmetic stores. If the sample is found to be not suitable or of standard quality after laboratory testing, action will be taken against the shop owners and manufacturing companies under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act 1940. During the inspection, all cosmetic shop proprietors were instructed to buy goods against proper bills. The Drug Department is keeping a constant vigil on fake cosmetic products, for which continuous sample testing will be done in the district. Kishore Thakur, drug inspector Mahendra Sahu and police constable Ishwar Yadav were present in the inspection.
