Bargarh: Ex-senior clerk of Sohela Block convicted in Vigilance corruption case for misappropriation of Govt. money
Bargarh: An ex-senior clerk of the Sohela Block in Bargarh district of Odisha has been convicted in a vigilance corruption case on Saturday for misappropriation of Govt. money.
As per reports, today Dharua, Ex-Senior Clerk and I/c Cashier of Sohela Block (Retired), Dist-Bargarh, who was charge sheeted by Odisha Vigilance U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(c)(d) of PC Act, 1988/409/467/468/471/477-A/120- B/34 IPC, for misappropriation of Govt. money by adopting illegal means, was convicted by the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Sambalpur and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment (RI) for a period of 3 years and fine.
Odisha Vigilance will now move the competent authority for stoppage of pension of Dukalu Dharua, Ex-Sr. Clerk (Retired) following his conviction.
Umesh Chandra Panda, Ex-Inspector, Vigilance, Sambalpur Division had investigated the case and Sobhan Anand Guru, Spl, PP, Vigilance, Sambalpur conducted the case on behalf of the prosecution.
