Goods train derails in Sambalpur, railway conducts probe
Sambalpur: In yet another incident a goods train derailed in Sambalpur district of Odisha, and the railway conducted a probe in this matter. No one has been injured in this incident, the restoration work is underway in this regard.
On July 29, a goods train derailed in Odisha’s capital city of Bhubaneswar in the morning. The incident occurred at Mancheswar Station yard at around 1.35 am.
Following the incident, senior railway officials reached the spot and initiated restoration work. According to sources, the down line was cleared for the train movement at around 05.05 am.
Fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported in the incident. However, two trains have been cancelled while, six train have been rescheduled.
On July 26, yet another goods train had been derailed in Bhubaneswar, the capital city of Odisha. As many as two wagons of a goods train has been derailed near Mancheswar station.
Reports say that the train got derailed after it crossed the Bhubaneswar station. The down line of the railway station has been affected and train services have been disrupted. Efforts were made to clear the third line and continue train cervices without interruptions.
