Lover had burnt mother and daughter, Balodabazar double murder case revealed
Balodabazar: Police has solved the murder mystery of mother and daughter in village Bhadra of Kasdol police station area. The murderer was none other than the deceased woman’s lover. The woman and the accused were in a love affair. The accused used to help the woman financially from time to time. For the last few days, the deceased Santoshi was demanding more money from her lover Dilharan. If he did not give the money, she was threatening to live in his house as his wife and defame him. Troubled by this, the young man hatched a conspiracy to kill the woman. Under this, he reached the woman’s house on the day of the incident. During this time, there was a fight and dispute between the two. Hearing the screams, the woman’s daughter woke up from sleep and when she came to stop the dispute, the accused attacked her with a tangia as well. After killing both the mother and daughter, the accused Dilharan burnt the bodies and fled from the spot.
In fact, on 29th July, in the morning, information was received at Police Station Kasdol that a woman and her daughter were murdered inside their house in village Bhadra. On this information, the police force of Police Station Kasdol immediately reached the spot. Santoshi, wife of late Dilip Sahu, age 40 years and her daughter Mamta Sahu, 18 years, both residents of village Bhadra, were murdered in the house of the deceased at the spot. The bodies of both the deceased were found burnt inside the house.
On preliminary inspection of the spot, both the deceased were found to have serious head injuries caused by some lethal weapon. The accused had also tried to burn both the bodies by pouring kerosene. The spot was closely inspected by the forensic team of FSL Raipur. Along with this, the police team of Police Station Kasdol conducted the investigation panchnama and questioned the villagers regarding the incident. In this case, case number 63/2024, 64/2024 and crime number were registered in Police Station Kasdol. Case No. 300/2024 under Section 103,1,238 BNS was registered and investigation taken up.
