BRS MLA reached the assembly wearing a black band

Telangana: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, while addressing the Telangana Assembly today, expressed his satisfaction over the recent Supreme Court verdict regarding the classification of Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST). In his remarks, he referred to the actions of the previous administration, particularly the suspension of Sampath Kumar for delaying the classification of Madiga and Mala sub-castes. Reddy highlighted the collective efforts of the Telangana government to reach this important verdict, saying, “The hard work has paid off.” He acknowledged the contribution of Deputy Chief Ministers Bhatti Vikramarka and Damodar Rajanarasimha, who had sent legal representatives to the Supreme Court for the case. In view of the constitutional bench verdict, the Chief Minister pledged that the state government will go ahead with the classification of SC and ST groups as per the court’s directions. He affirmed that measures will be implemented to ensure proper reservation for Madiga and Mala sub-castes in upcoming job notifications.
