Hamal died, he was returning to Raipur from Durg with his friends

Last night, three bike riders collided with a trailer going ahead at the signal in Khursipar Gate under Khursipar police station of Bhilai. A young man riding the bike died in the accident, while two others sitting with him are seriously injured. They have been referred to Durg District Hospital for treatment. Durg District Hospital

According to the information received from Khursipar Police, the deceased has been identified as Lokesh Chandel, son of Dudhram Chandel (23 years), resident of Janjgir-Champa. Lokesh used to work as a porter in Daldal Seoni of Raipur. He had come to Durg for some work with his two friends. From here, all three were going from Bhilai to Raipur on the same bike.

It is being told that Lokesh’s friend was driving the bike and Lokesh was sitting behind. All three had consumed alcohol. Being intoxicated, they were driving the bike very fast. Ahead of them was going a big trailer carrying a car and a bike. Around 9.30 pm, as soon as the red light came on at the signal near Khursipar Gate. Due to this, the trailer driver applied the brake and stopped the vehicle. The bike rider coming from behind could not control himself and hit the bike directly into the back of the trailer.
