Jalandhar: Students participated in the workshop

Jalandhar: Students of the PG Department of Computer Science, APJ College of Fine Arts, attended a seven-day workshop organised at IIT Roorkee. Seven students – Taranpreet Kaur (MVoc E-Commerce and Digital Marketing), Arshiya Jairath, Tanisha, Aarush and Ekam (BVoc Data Science) – attended seven sessions on the topic ‘Securing the Future: AI Privacy and Zero-Touch Networks’. The workshop taught them about the need to be aware and literate about the prevalence and dependence on AI in today’s times and how it is of utmost importance that a person using AI should be so careful while using it that they do not fall prey to any of its negative consequences. Dr Neerja Dhingra, Principal, ACFA, congratulated the students and appreciated the efforts of Dr Rupali Sood, Head of the Department of Computer Science, Dr Jagmohan Mago and Harpreet Kaur for guiding the students for the occasion. Ivy World Play School, Civil Lines celebrated Raksha Bandhan under the guidance of Principal Sanjeev Chauhan and Headmistress Shefali Sharma. The children made organic rakhis using paper sheets and coloured rice. They also received rakhi packets which included seeds, encouragement to plant seeds and information about the importance of organic rakhis. The children celebrated the day enthusiastically by tying rakhis to their siblings and gurus. They made vibrant rakhis with love and care, showcasing their creativity. Videos were also shown to help the children understand the lovely relationship between a brother and a sister.
Swami Sant Das Public School
Raksha Bandhan was celebrated with great pomp and show at Swami Sant Das Public School. The students of Bhai Vir Singh House presented a show which depicted the idea that whoever protects, one must be shown affection by presenting a rakhi. The house teachers Renu Sharma, Pavitra, Rajwinder and Harpreet inspired the students to present a blend of values ā€‹ā€‹with purity of thoughts. The students presented choreography showing glimpses of Lord Krishna and Draupadi.

State Public School

An activity depicting the true bond of brother and sister was organised at State Public School, Jalandhar Cantt. Children of Kindergarten as well as Class I and II celebrated the occasion by tying Rakhi on the wrists of brave army men. A Rakhi making activity was also organised, which showcased the beauty of making Rakhi. Girls tied Rakhi on the wrists of boys and in return the boys gifted them chocolates. Group of State Public Schools Chairman Narottam Singh, Vice Chairman Dr. Gagandeep Kaur and Principal Savina Bahl appreciated the efforts of the little ones.

Seth Hukam Chand SD Public School

Seth Hukam Chand SD Public Senior Secondary School celebrated the festival of Raksha Bandhan with great pomp and show. Students tied Rakhi to trees and took a pledge to beautify the environment. Students participated in a Rakhi making and gift wrapping competition. The competition saw a range of creative and innovative ideas. Principal Priyanka Sharma appreciated the creativity of the students and motivated the students to preserve the earth.
